Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be VIP met and greeted, assisted through immigration, and helped to collect your luggage. After exiting the arrivals terminal, you will meet your driver/guide who will transfer you to your hotel. Later in the evening at 4:30 PM, transfer to the Lake Victoria pier for a sundowner cruise on one of the largest freshwater lakes in East Africa. Enjoy a relaxing sunset experience.

Day 2: To Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast, check out of the hotel and take a domestic flight from Entebbe to Murchison Falls National Park. The flight takes about 1 hour and departs at 1 PM. Upon arrival, enjoy a game drive in the park, followed by a visit to the Top of the Falls. Relax at your lodge in the evening.

Day 3: In Murchison Falls National Park

Start the day with a morning game drive from 8 AM to 12 noon, spotting various animals, including lions and giraffes. In the afternoon, from 2 PM to 5 PM, embark on a boat cruise on the Nile River, heading up to the falls. This trip offers sightings of hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants, and numerous bird species.

Day 4: To Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for your flight to Kibale National Park. Upon arrival at Kibale Forest, immerse yourself in a world of primates, with at least 12 species including the Red-Tailed Monkey, Olive Baboon, Black and White Colobus, and Blue Monkeys. Birdlife is also abundant, featuring the beautiful Great Blue Turaco.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking, Swamp Walk, and Community Walk

In the morning, enjoy a nature excursion with a swamp walk (1-2 hours), where you’ll likely spot 3 or 4 different primate species and possibly the Great Blue Turaco bird. In the afternoon, embark on a chimpanzee tracking excursion in Kibale Forest, which boasts the highest number of primate species in the world. With approximately 4,950 chimps left in the wild in Uganda, this forest is the perfect place to spot them. Your ranger will also point out other species, including birds, flora, and fauna. Later, relax at your lodge, perhaps with a dip in the pool or a good book, enjoying the surrounding views.

Day 6: To Queen Elizabeth National Park

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, the oldest and second-largest national park in Uganda. Located at the base of the massive Rwenzori Mountains and adjacent to Lakes Edward and George, the park is covered by savannah plains that offer abundant game viewing, including elephants, lazy leopards, lions, buffaloes, hippos, and more. An afternoon game drive will be conducted upon arrival.

Day 7: In Queen Elizabeth National Park

Spend the day on game drives across the plains of Queen Elizabeth, spotting thousands of Uganda kobs, lions, and elephants from 8 AM to 12 noon. In the afternoon, enjoy a 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel from 2 PM to 4 PM, where you will see various animals from the waterside.

Day 8: To Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Begin the day with a short game drive from 8 AM to 11 AM in the Ishasha sector, searching for tree-climbing lions as you drive out of the park toward Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The scenic route takes you through verdant countryside, passing traditional homesteads and farms. Enjoy lunch and scenic stops along the way. Upon arrival, experience the Batwa community in the evening.

Day 9: Gorilla Tracking

At 7:45 AM, arrive at the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest office for a pre-briefing. The trek starts at 8:30 AM, and after locating the gorillas, you will spend up to one hour with them. All visitors are expected back at the starting point by 7 PM. Physical fitness is recommended for this trek.

Day 10: To Entebbe Airport

After breakfast, transfer to Kihihi airstrip for your flight back to Entebbe to continue your journey home.
