Overview

Straddling the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe, the Victoria Falls is one of the world’s most breathtaking natural wonders and one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Locally known as Mosi-oa-Tunya, meaning “The Smoke That Thunders,” this massive waterfall spans 1.7 kilometers wide and plunges over 100 meters into the Zambezi Gorge, creating a mesmerizing mist visible from miles away. The Knife-Edge Bridge on the Zambian side offers close-up views, while the Main Falls viewpoint in Zimbabwe provides a sweeping perspective of the entire waterfall.

Beyond sightseeing, Victoria Falls is an adventure hub. From the Zambian side, take a daring swim in Devil’s Pool, perched right at the waterfall’s edge, or enjoy a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River, where elephants and hippos roam freely. On the Zimbabwean side, embark on a rainforest walk along scenic trails or get your adrenaline pumping with a bungee jump off the Victoria Falls Bridge. Both sides offer helicopter flights, white-water rafting, and luxury lodges that make for an unforgettable stay.
